Nevada's Creative Economic Impact
The ACE community is the driving force behind global tourism, event, education, and media contributing more to Nevada's GDP than Mining at $8 billion, or 5%. Arts mean jobs, a fact recognized in the Nevada Governor's Office of Economic Development in their February 2023 5-year strategic plan naming the Creative industries as a critical part of the state's diversifying economy.
Our growing population relies on the economic mobility, social cohesion, and opportunity that the independent arts and culture sector provides; the most impactful force multiplier we have in Nevada’s economy. Locals in our Creative Economy not only grow their businesses, they help other stakeholders including educators, legislators, and innovators across Nevada to BET ON ARTS and embrace our creativity for a Renaissance of prosperity.
According to the Arts & Economic Prosperity 6 (AEP6), an economic impact study of the nonprofit
arts and culture industry, the sector generated $662.5 million in economic activity for Nevada during 2022.
