Guest Speakers:
Max Newman is a Las Vegas native and attorney at Business Affairs, Inc., where he works with creatives, producers, distributors, and financiers throughout the lifecycles of new media, motion picture, and television projects. He is licensed to practice law in California and Nevada.
Max has recently served as finance counsel for “Rob Peace” starring Chiwetel Eijofor (produced by Los Angeles Media Fund for Netflix), production counsel for “Balls Up” starring Mark Wahlberg and Paul Walter Hauser (currently being produced by Skydance for Amazon), “Matchbox” starring John Cena and Jessica Biel (currently being produced by Skydance for Apple) and “The Great Divide” starring Ken Jeong.
He will be covering the areas of:
Talent Contracts and Agreements for paid and unpaid/volunteer work
Deal Memo/MOU or Contracts for services provided (pay, scope, deliverables, etc.)
