The 11th Annual Nevada Women’s Film Festival is just around the corner (literally) happening this week from June 19th-23rd - and we’re especially excited to share some big news from our ACE community.
Our very own Sarah O’Connell will be honored with the Spirit of Community Arts Award. This is taking place during the 11th Annual Femmy Awards ceremony on Sunday night. This special recognition celebrates Sarah’s outstanding contributions to the Nevada arts scene and her tireless support of local creatives. It’s a moment that highlights not just her work, but the spirit of collaboration and advocacy that drives our creative community forward. We couldn’t be more proud of Sarah for adding to her already amazing list of accomplishments!
The festival itself will feature over 45 films from around the world, engaging panels, and inspiring conversations—including with 2025 Nevada Woman Filmmaker of the Year, Jessica Chandler, and Vanguard honoree, actress Brittany S. Hall. Mark your calendars for Saturday night because Brittany will be discussing her remarkable career with board member Briana Kennedy, and her powerful drama, Test Pattern, will be screened.
Sunday brings a panel discussion on The State of Arts & Culture in Southern Nevada with a lineup of arts and culture leaders who are guiding the Entertainment Capital of the World into the future. Just a few of the highlights you can expect from this can't miss event celebrating all of the outstanding achievements in our creative community of filmmakers.
